Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2004 Subaru Forester

Hi, Can you tell me what hitch model I would need for my 2004 Subaru Forester? Is there a hitch that doesnt need to be welded on? Are there any other things I need to purchase? How much weight can I tow? Thanks,

For your 2004 Subaru Forester we have the Draw Tite hitch part # 36311 as a confirmed fit that does not require any welding to install. No drilling is required either. This hitch has a 3,500 lb towing capacity. You'd need to check the owners manual of your vehicle too to see what Subaru recommends as the overall towing capacity and go by the lower rated figure.

For trailer wiring you'd then want the Tekonsha kit part # 118461 which is a confirmed custom fit. For a ball mount you'd then want the part # 36051 and hitch ball # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.
