Best Options for Truck to Tow Fifth Wheel Trailer

Question:

Hello guys. My name is Victoria and I am in the process of purchasing a13,400 lbs, 40ft. long Fifth wheel RV. I have already picked out my RV, and I am working towards trading my suv towards the purchase of a truck. Being a female, I know nothing about RVs or trucks. Can you please help me? My question is what is a good female friendly truck that can pull my RV? Thank you, and God bless...

For towing a fifth wheel trailer the best option is going to be a diesel 3500 series truck with a dually rear axle and a long bed. This will give you the safest, easiest to tow setup that will give you the best fuel mileage best reliability.

Any of the US manufacturer trucks are going to be great options if you end up with a truck within a few years old. They also have factory hitch prep packages too available so you might be able install a hitch relatively easy as well.

For example the Ford trucks have had factory rail kits the longest and the Reese M5 hitch # RP30921 would fit it directly and would give you a very easy to use and smooth hitch.
