Choosing between the Roadmaster Defender and Blue Ox Kargard Vehicle Protectors for Flat Towing

Question:

Im debating between the Roadmaster Defender 4750 and the BlueOx Kargard 8870 to protect my Toad vehicle. My lean is towards the Roadmaster 4750 but would like some input before I order and to ensure compatibility. Here the facts of my situation. The Toad is a 2018 Honda Fit Sport. I have a BlueOx baseplate and a BlueOx Accent, new aluminum model, tow bar. My Motorhome is a 2016 Itasca Nation. Diesel engine exhaust is on the side, however, I do have an LP generator exhaust on the back pics attached. Back of motorhome is 90 inches wide and the generator exhaust is about 6-8 inches in from the side, so close to the outer edge of the Roadmaster. I would not regularly use the generator, but would on occasion. My concerns with the BlueOx Kargard 8870 is with kickback of rocks to the motorhome and some reviews that it bounces around a bit. It also may not protect the bottom of the Toad as well, but I know I can cut it down to lower it. My concerns with the Roadmaster 4750 is whether I need to worry about the generator exhaust and if its compatible with my BlueOx tow bar. I like that the Roadmaster would protect the lower part of the car and may be a little easier to deal with when storing on a trip. If the BlueOx though is better for my situation, I will go with that. Looking forward to your response before I place my order!

Because the Roadmaster Tow Defender # RM-4750 will not be in the path of any of the exhaust on your RV it will be a great option to protect your 2018 Honda Fit Sport. This protector will fit when using both Blue Ox base plates and a Blue Ox tow bar together.

But I do like that the Blue Ox Kargard # BX8870 is a hard, yet flexible, material that would not be subjected to tearing like a fabric type of system would. It is a bit larger but it folds up to make storing it easier.

If it was me I would go with the Blue Ox Kargard since it is the most versatile in terms of what it will fit and because the harder shell would stand up to a lot of action. I have linked videos of both for you.
