4-Way to 7-Way Adapter Recommendation for 2008 Mazda CX-9
Question:
Good day I cannot find an installer who will put in anything but a 4 way, so I am having a 4 way installed. I want to mount the 7 way adapter. My trailer does not have electric brakes. Can I simply hook up the ground cable and ignore the rest? If not what is the right way to handle? Attaching picture of my trailers connector, it is a 2009 Jayco 1007 trailer

Expert Reply:
For your 2008 Mazda CX-9 that has a 4-way all you need to convert it to a 7-way is the part # 37185. Since you don't have trailer brakes all you have to do is connect the ground like you mentioned and you'd be set. This will plug right into the 7-way plug you attached a picture of.
