Parts Needed to Install Prodigy RF Brake Controller with 2011 Toyota Sienna
Question:
Im going to install a 7 pole connector on a 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE. It looks like I need to install a 4 pole connector first. I was thinking of installing the Item 118498 connector since I like that the module installs on the passenger side in the jack cargo area. The powered module of the wiring harness connects directly to the battery, but then when I install the 4 pole to 7 and 4 pole adapter item 37185 it also requires a direct 12V power line. Id then have two separate lines running to my battery. Can this be done with just a single line? Also, Im planning to install the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller Item # TK94FR, so I dont believe I need the full 7 pole installation kit Item # ETBC7. Is this correct and do you have any other recommendations given my current plan.

Here's what you need to install the Prodigy RF brake controller part # TK94FR on your 2011 Toyota Sienna. You need the controller, a 4-way harness part # 118498, the adapter part # 37185, a circuit breaker # 9510, and then a length of 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by foot) to go from the 7-way to the positive battery post.
Since you are running two wires to the positive post of the battery you might instead want the part # 10-2-1 which is a double bonded 10 gauge wire set that basically would be like running a single wire but the two wires are connected to each other so you can power two circuits.
