Recommended 20k 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for 2018 Chevy 2500HD with Factory Prep Package

Question:

I just purchased a 2018 chevy silverado HD2500 crew cab. I need a new 5th wheel hitch. My new truck has the goose neck 5th wheel prep package. I would like at least 18k to 20k rating for the hitch. What options do I have that will work?

For your 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500HD I recommend the B&W fifth wheel hitch. Since you have the factory prep package use part # BWRVK3700 if your truck is a long bed or part # BWRVK3770 for a short bed. The sliding hitch helps a short bed truck with turn clearance. Unless the trailer has a rotating pin box then use the standard hitch with the short bed.

B&W hitches offer one of the best available rides on the market because of the dual jaws that are 1 inch thick. This gives you more contact with the king pin to reduce rattling. They also have a fully articulating head to improve the ride and make it easier to couple.
