Replacements for a 20.5 x 8 - 10 Trailer Tire

Question:

Have a 1997 Jayco Eagle 12 popup with 10 inch tires,4 bolt. Current tires are Nanco N699 20.5x8-10/E. Purchased August 2017,approx 3700 miles on them. Seems quick to me, but have worn to the extent that they need replacing. Interested in your Kenda tire of same size. Your website states that the equivalent tire to replace my current tire is a bit smaller. Would it create a problem if my current spareNanco had to replace a Kenda tire, as a result of a flat tire or blowout?

The modern equivalent of a 20.5 x 8 - 10 tire is a 205/65-10 tire. These two tires are going to have the exact same diameter of 20.5" therefore, you can absolutely use the 20.5 x 8 - 10 tires you have now as a spare. For a 205/65-10 tire, I recommend the Loadstar (Kenda) K399 Bias Trailer Tire part # AM1HP56. This tire has a bias ply, load range E (1,650 lbs) and speed rating N (87 mph). It also comes with a 2-year warranty.

I have attached a review video of the tire in addition to our tire size help article for you.
