Tonneau Side Rail Dimensions for 5th Wheel Pin Box Clearance

Question:

Have 2006 GMC 3500 long bed dual rear wheel SLT Sierra truck. Looking for a very low profile roll up tonneau cover. I have a fifth wheel hitch installed in the truck bed. I need to verify the tonneau cover clears the 5th wheel hitch when the cover is closed. I also need to verify truck bed driver/passenger side swing clearance for the trailer kingpin box. Ive read the site text and the installation instructions for the tonneau rails and cannot find information about how wide the rails are. So my questions are: 1 When properly installed, how far does a rail extend towards the center of the truck bed? 2 When properly installed, what is the clearance from the bottom of the tonneau cover to the floor of the truck bed? The Access Vanish Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover # 834532007837 is a fit for your 2006 GMC Sierra 3500 dually. The side rails will come into the bed about 3-1/4 inches from the side rail and in certain locations a little further for the knob adjusters. The bottom of the tonneau will sit about 1 inch below the side rail height of your truck.

5th wheel hitches are height adjustable, so you will be able to fit it under your tonneau cover. The pin box turning clearance will be enough that you won't hit your tonneau rails.
