We are going to be buying a fifth wheel trailer with a Turning Point pin. Grand Desing 290BH. Can you recommend a fifth wheel for a 2018 F150 with the 5.5” bed?

For your Grand Design 290 BH with Turning Point pin box, I recommend the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30047. This hitch has a dual jaw and a 4-way pivoting head for easy hookup.

For the base rails on your 2018 Ford F-150 with 5.5 foot bed, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50087-58. These custom rail brackets will not require drilling into your frame and will assist with the drilling locations in your bed to make the installation much faster and easier than a universal bracket kit.

I also recommend using the wiring harness # 50-97-410-010 to give you a working 7-way in the bed of your truck for easy connection access for your trailer and a cleaner look. It will allow the 7-way on your bumper to stay active, but will give you a second connection option.
