4-Way to 7-Way Adapter Recommendation for Towing Trailer Without Brakes
Question:
I have a 4 pin in my car and a 7 pin on the trailer. I know the 4 pin doesnt operate the electrical brakes. Can I tow a 6 x 12 trailer without the electrical brakes

If you used the adapter part # 37185 you'd be able to adapt your vehicle 4-way to a 7-way and you'd have the ability to control the trailer's lighting functions.
If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
