Easy to Load Bike Rack Recommendation for Roubaix Expert Specialized Turbo Vado 3.0 E-bike

Question:

I am looking at purchasing a bike rack that will work with the following bikes I have: specialized Roubaix Expert Carbon and the Specialized Turbo Vado 3.0 E-bike. can you tell me which rack would work the best for me - i dont want the bikes touching each other. the Turbo has fenders on both wheels and a carrier on the back fender. I am also looking for easy mounting of bikes. We have a Chevy truck silverado and a Durrango - both have 2inch hitch receivers.

We have the perfect bike rack for your Roubaix Expert Carbon and the Specialized Turbo Vado 3.0 E-bike. The Thule EasyFold part # TH903202 has a higher weight capacit at 65 lbs per bike. Is incredibly easy to load as it comes with a slide out bike ramp, and grabs the bikes at the frame with it's very universal clamp design which allows it to fit bikes with fenders easily.

Thanks for the response. My understanding is that the Saris Freedom EX also can tilt away with bikes loaded, and can hold the 55lb turbo vados. So if they are secure on the Saris, the $500 difference in price seems to be pretty significant. So my main question is whether the easy fold is more secure than the freedom.

You are right that the EX version of the Freedom, part # SA4412F, can tilt away from the vehicle. Your bikes will be plenty secure on this rack and looking purely in terms of this attachment, I definitely agree that the price difference we're talking about isn't worth it. That's why I kind of mentioned the EasyFold as being the winner if pricing isn't a concern. That's a big "if", for sure. You would be extremely happy with the Freedom EX.

How does that rack compare with Saris Freedom? I have 2 turbo vado ebikes.

The Thule EasyFold offers quite a bit more than the Saris Freedom, and I do think the Freedom is a really quality rack. It has a slightly higher capacity of 65 pounds per bike (compared to 60 pounds), features an integrated ramp for easier loading of those heavy e-bikes, can tilt away from the vehicle (with the bikes still loaded) for rear cargo access, and has dual red reflectors for nighttime visibility. If price isn't too much of a concern the EasyFold is the clear winner.
