Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for a Newmar London Aire

Afternoon. I am trying to find a hitch for the london aire we have that we use for the kids we do therapeutic foster care for abused kids. We love our Newmar and been great to us but we did a trip for the kids this year during spring break and the hitch broke pulling a pop up camper went from AZ to Disney world and pop up was very light so IDK why broke but is what it is. Was surprised it is a 5K only hitch. We had to leave the RV and trailer at friends house in Miami and i am flying down today to bring back. Here is issue. I cant seem to find a hitch anywhere. it has a putman on it now seems to be out of business and no one can help with a replacement. Do you have a part # and carry one? It has a spartan chassis and i have the dimensions which are just shy of 34 wide and from top of the mounting to top of the bar is 2.5. It is a very straight forward design and just a straight bar with two big L pieces of metal welded on. I would love to go with a much beefier unit even though all we tow is a pop up at around 4K pounds just for safety. sorry for last minute email but i thought it would be easy to find and boy was i wrong. thanks

I do have an option for you but nothing that will be a direct fit for your Newmar London Aire. We do not carry Putman products and none of our manufacturers make anything specifically for the Spartan chassis your motorhome is on. The best option we can offer you is a universal service body hitch like the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 41990-16.
This hitch will work on a variety of applications and can handle a trailer with a gross trailer weight (GTW) of up to 16,000 lbs. It comes with extra long brackets that can be cut, bolted, and or welded to the RV's frame to make work. Because of the universal fit, I am going to recommend you take the motorhome to your local RV service center to have the work performed.
