Recommended Brake Controller and Wiring Kit for 2013 Chrysler Town and Country
Question:
I want to purchase a trailer brake controller for a 2013 chrysler town and country pulling a tandem axle cargo trailer new with electric brakes. The trailer weighs 1875 empty and my small race car weighs 1300 pounds. The vehicle tows 3600 pounds. I will be using as a utility and cargo trailer as well. Towing through mountains of New Mexico occasionally. I am a regular customer with several vehicles and have been very pleased with your expertise. Please advise. I have the hitch and a 4 flat connected already. What do I need for optimum safety ? I will await your reply. Thanks

For your 2013 Chrysler Town and Country, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 which is a proportional controller. This will adjust the braking based on your deceleration as well as the brake light signal. This is our most popular controller due to the LCD screen with easy diagnostics and preset boost levels.
To make this functional with your vehicle and your current 4-way trailer connection, you will use the Universal Brake Controller Wiring Kit # ETBC7. This kit will give you the wiring connections, circuit breakers, and everything else you need to add a 7-way and wire your brake controller. I've linked some videos to assist and have also attached an article to help.
