Recommended Equal-I-zer Weight Distribution System for 2018 Rockwood Roo 233s

Question:

I have a 2015 Chevy 1500 wt double cab and am looking at weight distribution system paired with a 18 Rockwood Roo 233s gvw 4842 cargo capacity 1770 hitch 612. I am favoring EQ37100ET and would appreciate your thoughts.

For your 2018 Rockwood Roo 233s, the unloaded hitch weight is the 612 lbs you stated as the 4842 is also the unloaded weight. Based on the 1770 cargo capacity, that puts the trailer at a GVWR of 6612. Your unloaded tongue weight ratio is currently at just under 13%, so if you take that number and the GVWR, you get a loaded tongue weight of right around 850 lbs.

You want your total tongue weight which includes your loaded tongue weight and any cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle to be in the middle of the range for your weight distribution system. This means the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37100ET will be a great option for your application.

That system comes with the hitch ball, but you will need a thin walled socket like # EQ70-00-4800 or # ALL643216
