Which Material Wheel is Best for Spare Tires

Question:

I have a single axle trailer and will be purchasing Sendel Series T02 Machined Trailer Wheel - 15inch x 6inch Rim - 6 on 5-1/2, Item # AM22654. My current spare, however, is a wheel similar to Taskmaster Steel Modular Trailer Wheel - 15inch x 6inch Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 - Silver PVD Finish, Item # 560545MSPVD, and is mounted beneath the A frame. Why not order three Sendel aluminum wheels, to include the spare? Is there any risk to that? Or is there a benefit from going with a steel wheel instead due to road debris, elements, etc? Thank you.

If the spare tire on your trailer is positioned under the a-frame and subjected to the elements more so than normal I would actually go with the Aluminum Sendel Series T02 Machined Trailer Wheel part # AM22654 because as we know, aluminium cannot rust. Rust in regards to wheels can cause the bead seat to not seal properly which will result in leaks.

Please note that the Sendel Series T02 Machined Trailer Wheel has a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern with a 2,830 lb capacity.
