The manufacturer of the Bumper Mounted Tire Carrier, Item # TR-1, has not listed a particular weight limit. One of our experts contacted them for more details and the manufacturer stated that it was tested for 100,000 miles on 225/75R15 travel trailer tires that were 50 lbs. It is designed to work with 15 inch to 16 inch tires, fits most 5-, 6- and 8-lug wheels, and attaches to 4" square bumpers.
