Determining the Right Brake Assembly and Hub Drum H and H Cargo Trailer
Question:
Hello, I have a H andH brand 24 cargo trailer 2008 year model I believe. It has 7k torsion axles but Im not sure which brand they are. Im needing new brake so I was looking at the Nev-R-Adjust type. Basically I would just like to know what information I need to compare to make sure I order the correct size/type. And also which type of drums I would need if I decide to replace them too. Thanks

To get the correct brake assembly, you need to know the axle weight capacity, the backing plate bolt pattern, and the dimension of the drum. A 7000 lb axle would typically use a 12 x 2 assembly with a 5 bolt backing plate. Parts # 23-464 and # 23-465 are a good example.
For replacement drums, we would need to know the wheel bolt pattern (which is typically 8 on 6-1/2) and the reference numbers off of the existing wheel bearings. Part # 8-219-4UC3 would be a typical hub and drum for a 7000 lb axle.
