What Could be Causing Right Turn Signal on Trailer Not to Work?

Question:

I plug the trailer into a 2003 Dodge Cummins and the right turn signal does not work on the trailer. I plugged it into another truck and it works fine. I checked the 7 pin and the 4 pin Y on the truck and all the lights work except the right turn. Any ideas? There does not seem to be a fuse for the right side.

There are a number of potential issues that could be causing the right turn signal on your trailer not to work, but by far the most likely cause is a faulty ground. What you need to do is make sure your grounds are securely attached to bare metal surfaces free of any paint, dirt or corrosion of any kind.

Also check your wiring thoroughly to ensure there are none that are crimped, broken or otherwise damaged. I've added links to a pair of help articles on trailer wiring that you may also find useful.
