The Tekonsha Modulite Protector 5-Way Flat KIT # 119177KIT referenced in your question is a universal harness that can be installed on your 2008 Honda Ridgeline. This hardwire kit will require you to splice in all of the wires to the tail light wires on your Honda Ridgeline to give you the needed 5-Way to connect with your boat trailer.
With this in mind, an easier option will be to simply install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118400. This custom-fit, 4-Way harness will connect directly to built-in ports located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. This is a "plug and play" installation that requires no splicing.
From there, you can simply use the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Adapter # 20036 to convert the 4-Way to a 5-Way. This will plug right into the mentioned 4-Way and you will just need to splice the additional blue wire from the adapter into the reverse light circuit on the Ridgeline.
I have attached the installation instructions on the products mentioned, along with a couple short videos that you might find helpful.
