Recommendation for Adding 2nd Friction Sway Control Bar to Trailer

I have a Reese friction sway control on the right side of my camper. Do you have one for the left side.

To add a second friction sway control, you will need the second Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660 and you'll need to weld a tab onto your trailer hitch ball platform like # C45822. The friction bar will simply be inverted on the left side, but that will not impact the function and is designed for use on either side. I've attached an article to assist and 2 bars are recommended on trailers over 26 feet long or if you simply want more sway control.

The other option is to use a weight distribution head like # PS58442 instead of the ball mount so you have the two integrated sway bar ball mounts. You will need a weight distribution shank like # C17100 for that application.

I have a 2013 Keystone Light Outback. I tow this with a 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500. Ever since purchasing the outback new, I had sway control issues. I have Reese Pro weight distribution hitch. It slide in saddles on the trailer. Last week I have 1 sway contol bar installed. I took it on the interstate and had sway issues at 70 mph. I saw articles of installing a 2nd sway bar. Do you have any pictures...or any suggestions for me. The trailer is 32' and weighs in over 8,000 pounds. Thanking you in advance.

Any time a trailer is longer than 26 feet a second sway bar is recommended, so adding another Reese # 83660 will absolutely help further reduce sway on your Keystone Light Outback. The process described above will be the same for your Silverado and Outback.
