Recommendation For Durable And Easy To Install 2 Inch Hitch For 2018 Toyota RAV4 SE Non-Hybrid
Question:
I see that there are a few choices in the Draw-Tite towing hitch for a 2018 Toyota RAV4 SE non hybrid. Will all of the hitches fit the same? It seems the differences are in the tongue weight. I will be using it for a hitch bike rack and a hitch cargo box. I think I would like the hitch with the highest tongue weight if the installation is the same.

Based on what you are looking for, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Round Tube Receiver Hitch, Item # 75235. This hitch is a custom fit for your 2018 Toyota RAV4 SE and has a relatively easy installation as do all the hitches that fit your vehicle (instructions attached). No drilling is required and it will mount to your vehicle with existing attachment points. Depending on your vehicle package, the central sensor on the rear of your RAV4 often is blocked but the outside ones usually work fine. The Draw-Tite has a 2 inch hitch opening, has a 675-lb tongue weight capacity, and a 4,500-lb towing weight capacity.
If you want the ability to tow a trailer now or later, I recommend something like the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, Item # 118578. It plugs directly into your existing wiring behind the trim panels in the cargo area on the driver and passenger side. For the rest of a towing setup, I recommend going with something like the Etrailer Ball Mount Kit for 2 inch Hitches, Item # 989900, that includes: 2 ball mounts, 2 hitch balls, 2 pin and clips, and one storage bag.
Before towing anything, check your owner's manual for instructions and recommendations for safe towing with your 2018 Toyota RAV4.
I am attaching some articles and videos for you to review.
