Parts Needed to Add a Roof Rack on a 2018 Honda Ridgeline

Question:

I do wonder also, could I use something besides a Thule rack to save a bit?

If you would like to stick with the Thule theme that you have going then I recommend using a Thule roof rack system that uses the AeroBlade bars.

For your 2018 Honda Ridgeline you will need 60" crossbars which is part # TH711500 for Silver or part # TH711520 for Black along with the Rapid Traverse Foot Pack # TH480R, and the Fit Kit # THKIT1811. The WingBar Evo bars have an aerodynamic design that cuts down on wind noise and drag compared to traditional bars.

If you prefer the more traditional look which is also more cost effective then you need the 60" SquareBar # TH712500 with the same Rapid Traverse Foot Pack # TH480R and Fit Kit # THKIT1811 for your naked roof.

Either roof rack option (WingBar Evo or SquareBar) will give you a weight capacity of 110 lbs but you need to confirm that the roof of your Ridgeline can handle that much weight as well.

For a similar system to the Thule AeroBlade roof rack that is a little more cost-effective I recommend going with a Rhino-Rack Vortex system. For your Ridgeline with the naked roof (no existing rails or crossbars) the parts will be # RRVA150S-2 for Silver or # RRVA150B-2 for the vortex bars. You also need the 2500 Series Legs # RRRLKVA and the DK Fit Kit # DK470.
