Replacement Brake Shoes Needed for a Wells Cargo Trailer
Question:
How can I go about finding out part numbers for theshoes so that I can purchase them. It is a 1999 single axel 3800lb. The drums have .. 10.9 stamped on them.

There might be a part number that is located on the back of the brake assembly itself or maybe a sticker that is still readable.
From the picture you sent in it looks like you have 10" self-adjusting brakes for a 3,500 lb axle like our kit # AKEBRK-35-SA. I am attaching a link to our selection of replacement shoes but you will need to know your manufacturer/part number before choosing a replacement.
Typically we have found that it is much more cost effective to just get replacement brake assemblies instead of replacing individual pieces. After replacing the shoes then you may need to end up replacing other internal parts in the near future. This means you have to take everything apart again.
