What Size Locking Lug Nuts Do I Need For My Pop-Up Camper Trailer

Question:

Have a pop-up camper that we stripped down to the frame and converted it to a flat bed trailer. Had to get ST 15 radial 6 ply 5 bolt/4 1/2 inch space tires for it $120.00 each. Wanted to put locking lugs one each tire on the wheels. Went to Auto World found the locking lugs they are 1/2 ich lug nuts I thinkasked for help to get the right onesthe guy said that the thread was a fine thread instead of the course thread used on auto tires. Are the ones you have fit a fine thread lug because it is a camper. It was a old pop-up camperdo not know make or model. Can you help figure this out.

I spoke with my contact at Redline and he informed that the threads on all 1/2 inch wheel studs should be the exact same, and that there is not a course or fine thread axle stud.

When I described to him that problem you are having he said that you might have metric sized threads on your pop-up camper and that is why the lugs you bought did not thread on.

I would take one of the lugs that you know will thread onto your studs and go to a hardware store and try threading the lugs onto various bolt sizes until you find the thread size that you need and get same size locking lug nuts.
