Replacement Parts for Yakima Ridgeback 4 or 5 Bike Carrier

Question:

In your answer, you mentioned that if rack was manufatured before Nov 2005 the diameter of the bolt should measure 8 to 9 millimeters however on the web page is not November 2005 but November 2015. Which of the two days is the correct one? I own a Yakima Ridgeback, but I lost the keys, the speed knob, the wedge assembly, the safety wheel strap, the zip strips straps and the 2” Shank adapter. I would like to buy all these items from your web page, but I need your help to the right things. Is it possible? Some issues, I purchased my Yakima Rack in May 2016, so I do not know if it was manufactured before November 2015.

I reached out to my contact at Yakima and the change made to the Ridgeback in November 2015 was most noticeably made to the cradles. The older style cradle had a gray button to release the zip strips and the newer style has a black button for the zip strips, so that is the easiest way to tell which ones you need.

Here are the parts you requested that are still available: (pre-Nov. 2015) or (post-Nov. 2015) where required

Replacement SpeedKnob and Wedge Assembly for Yakima Bike Racks # 8880508
2 inch shank adapter # 8880612 (post)
Zip strips # Y8890297 (pre)
