Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2011 Ford F-350 Towing Through Mountains
Question:
Good evening. Im an avid camper and I tow with a 2011 f350 diesel. Ive gone thru the smokeys and blue ridge and watched my trans temp near 230 and oil near 239. Ive since d my egr, installed a straight pipe. Im hoping to lower my temps a little. My question is how hot can I run? Oil Trans Water Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Any time your transmission fluid is over 200 degrees you are shortening the life of it. At 239 degrees you would really want to install a supplemental cooler to get that temperature down.
I'd go with the larger cooler part # D13504 which measures 11" Wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep based on your application.
