The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11383 is a confirmed fit for the 2012 MazdaSPEED 3. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you and a link to a video showing a typical installation.
This hitch includes the hitch pin and clip. If you are doing some towing, you can use ball # 19256 (1-7/8 inch diameter) or # 19258 (2 inch diameter), to go with the recommended drawbar # 3594. For trailer wiring I recommend the 4 Pole Harness and Hardwire Kit, # C59236.
If you are going to be using the hitch for a bike rack or cargo carrier, the CURT warranty requires the use of a stabilization strap, # 18050, for extra support. Make sure that any accessory you add is compatible with a Class I trailer hitch. For bike racks, you will be limited to carrying 2 bikes maximum.
