We do have some options for you to add a 7-Way to your 2015 Toyota Highlander. You may or may not have to do a bit of splicing depending on your application.
If you only need the basic trailer light functions then you just need the Hopkins Adapter # 37185 which plugs into your current 4-Way flat connector and gives you a 7-Way and a 4-Way connector. Just connect the ground (White) wire to a clean, bare-metal spot on the frame of your Highlander and tie off the unused wires and you are good to go.
Should you need a fully functioning 7-Way (usually to activate trailer brakes) then you need the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 which includes the same Hopkins adapter as well as the additional parts needed to complete the installation. When installing this kit you need to run the duplex wire up to the front of your Highlander. One will go to your battery (with a circuit breaker between them) and the other will need to be routed inside your Highlander for the use of a brake controller.
I have linked a video of us installing the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 and the # ETBC7 kit on a 2013 Highlander that you can reference. If you do not already have a brake controller and you need one then I highly recommend the P3 as it is easy to install and use. It features an easy-to-read LCD screen that clearly tells you what is going on and it has storable settings for different towing applications.
I have attached a review video for the P3 as well for you to check out.
