Can your trail hitch fit on a 2016 Ram Promaster 3500 hitch? If so, would I still be able to open the doors? What has to be done to prepare the hitch for the tire carrier?RM-195225

The Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier w/ 2" Receiver Opening - 2" Hitches # RM-195225 will fit on your 2016 Ram Promaster 3500. The Tire Carrier has a simple assembly and I've attached the installation instructions for you as well as a video review. This wheel carrier is compatible will all wheel bolt hole patterns and fits 16 to 24-1/2 inch wheels. This spare tire carrier is only to be used for flat towing a vehicle or carrying a hitch mounted accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier and does reduce the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 33%.
If you want to carry passenger tires instead of trailer tires with this, you will need the Passenger Tire Adapter # RM-195225-95 for this carrier.
