Do I Need Bigger Trany Cooler for Towing My 2010 Jeep Liberty on a Trailer

Question:

will be pulling a trailer and a jeep right at 5,000lbs or less. I guess the D13503 would be the best or do you have a bigger one. Thanks

As far as transmission coolers go, you cannot cool transmission fluid too much, so installing the largest cooler that space will allow is perfectly fine and will benefit your transmission the most.

The trailer and Jeep you will be towing will probably add up to about 7,000 lbs so I would recommend the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, item # D13614. This cooler measures 11 inches wide x 11-3/8 inches tall x 1-1/4 inches deep, so you will need to make sure there is room in front of your radiator or air conditioning condenser for installation of the cooler.

The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, # D13503, that you mentioned would be a good choice for towing trailers up to 5,000 pounds or so.

If you would like to send me the year make and model of your tow vehicle, I can make sure there are not any additional fittings needed.
