Will the OEM Tow Package Wiring # 118242 for a 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage Require Additional Wiring

Question:

I have the 4 way factory plug and the brake controller plug in port. My question is, if I buy part#118242 and plug it in do I have to run a seperate wire for the trailer tow battery. I have found the relay holder in the power box for the trailer tow battery, if I plug in part#118242 and install the relay that comes with the kit will I have power to trailer battery?

Since your 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage model has the factory 4-Way wiring you will be able to install the OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness, # 118242, inline with the OEM 4-Way harness without inlstalling additional wires.

The fuses and relays included in the package can be used to complete the wiring for the circuits. Not all of the fuses and relays will necessarily be needed. Once you have the fuses and relays installed in the correct locations the power for trailer battery will be activated.
