Does Air Dam Have to Come Off to Install Front Hitch on 2018 Toyota Tacoma

Just purchased the front receiver hitch for my 2018 tacoma. Hitch installed well, but the trim instructions for the air dam doesnt make sense. There are cutouts for the bilateral welded loops, but no cutout for the hitch receiver. Im also wondering if its acceptable to simply leave the air dam off. Thanks for your response!

I checked with Draw Tite and when installing their front hitch for your vehicle part # 65070 you have to leave the front air dam off. I apologize if that step wasn't made clear enough!
