Recommended Wiring for Brake Controller on 2010 Freightliner Cascadia Semi Truck Tractor
Question:
Where to find hot wire to hook up electric switch for electric trailer brakes

To connect an electric brake controller to your 2010 Freightliner Cascadia, I recommend you start with a proportional brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195. This when connected correctly will give your trailer brakes the same pressure at the same time as you hit the brake pedal in your truck.
To get your wiring functions, you will need to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to determine wire functions. Then I recommend using the Upgraded Heavy Duty ModuLite Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness with Install Kit # C59496 and then # ETBC7 to give you the 7-Way connection, wiring, and circuit breakers needed. The entire system will need to be hardwired, but the converter will help you get the correct functions even with multiplex wiring.
I've attached some articles to further assist.
