If you have the 2007 Lexus RX 400h (Hybrid), we have everything needed to set the vehicle up for towing your jet ski trailer.

Starting with the trailer hitch, I recommend the Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch # 13530. This Class III hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle and will use existing holes in its frame for a no-drill installation. This hitch features a 2 inch receiver opening and a towing weight capacity of 3,500 pounds. I recommend checking your copy of the vehicle's owners manual for its specific rating, as you will need to follow whichever capacity is lower, the vehicle's or the hitch's. Based on my research, it looks like the vehicle has a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds without a factory tow package and 3,500 pounds with the tow package.

I have attached an installation video on the 2006 model RX 400h, along with the written instructions that you can take a look at.

For a trailer wiring harness, I recommend the Tekonsha Upgraded Circuit Protected ModuLite 4 Pole Harness # 118255. This is a universal, hardwire kit that includes everything you need to install a 4-Way connector at the rear of your Lexus. This will connect with and power the trailer's basic signal lights.

If the trailer you plan on towing is equipped with electric or electric-over-hydraulic brakes and it has a 7-Way connector (instead of a 4-Way), you will also need to add the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7. This kit has everything needed to convert the above 4-Way to a fully functional 7-Way, along with the additional wiring for installing a trailer brake controller. I have attached an article that details the installation steps for this kit if it is needed.

Then for a trailer brake controller (if needed), I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. This is an excellent, proportional controller that will activate the trailer brakes at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in your Lexus.

Finally, in order to tow a trailer, you will need a ball mount and hitch ball. I have attached a great article that explains how to choose the best one for your setup, along with a link that will take you to our available selection. I have also included a couple articles on trailer towing that you might find helpful.
