Recommended Leveling Jacks for 2016 Coachmen Freelander RV
Question:
I have a 2016 30’ Coachmen Freelander and looking for a recommendation for a suitable set of leveling jacks. Unfortunately this RV didn’t come equipped with jacks so I’m looking for a solution to leveling and securing so the heavy winds don’t rock the RV. Also, do jacks have to be mounted to the motorhome?

To stabilize your 2016 Coachmen Freelander RV, I recommend looking at scissor jacks like the Ultra-Fab # UF48-979002. These can be either bolted or welded to the frame of your RV and they feature large footplates to provide excellent stability. They include an E-Z crank handle for easy operation and each single jack has a weight capacity of 6,500 pounds. Mounting 4 of the jacks (2 sets) to the bottom of the frame at the four corners of your RV will provide great stability and keep it from wobbling around during heavy winds.
Another option is the Ultra-Fab Stackable Stabilizers # UF48-979004. This is a 4 pack of jacks that can extend from 11 inches to 17 inches and support 6,000 pounds each. These would not need to be permanently mounted to the RV and they have a nice, stackable design that takes up less space when stored and not in use.
I have attached a couple video demonstrations for both of these products so you can get a closer look at how they work.
