Torklift TLF1005H Hitch Fit on 2012 Ford F-150 Short Bed Pickup

Hi, is this torklift TLF1005H compatible with my 2012 F150 FX4 crew cab, 6 1/2foot bed? Would like to bump up my weight capacity over the 5000/500 standard hitch. Thanks.

TorkLift SuperHitch Hero Dual-Receiver Trailer Hitch # TLF1005H is a confirmed fit for the 2012 Ford F-150 short-bed with a factory-installed hitch that has a 10,500-lb rating. Versions with the higher-rated 11,500-lb factory hitch are NOT compatible. The factory hitch serves as the mounting point as shown in the linked instructions.

Is your hitch factory or aftermarket?

If it is an aftermarket hitch like Draw-Tite # 75691 then you could unbolt it and then install a higher-rated aftermarket unit such as the Class IV Curt # C14002 which is rated for 10,000/1000-lbs, more than the TorkLift.
