How to Tow a 2013 Toyota Prius V Behind a Motorhome
Question:
Hello... I am interested in your Bue Ox alpha towbar. I have a 28 ft class C Thor Four Winds RV, and I would like to tow my 2013 Prius V with the alpha tow bar. Could u give me an idea of the parts I would need to make that happen, and the total cost? Thanks for your help with this matter.

According to the owner's manual for your 2013 Toyota Prius V, this vehicle cannot be flat-towed with 4 wheels down as this will likely cause damage to the vehicle's drivetrain components. Therefore, you will not be able to use the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar part # BX7380.
However, after a bit of research it does appear that the vehicle can be towed behind your Thor Four Winds Class C Motorhome using a tow dolly like the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Self-Steering Wheels and Electric Brakes part # RM-2000-1. A tow dolly is the easiest and usually least expensive way to tow a vehicle. In addition to ease of use and cost, a tow dolly will create far less stress and wear on the vehicle in comparison to towing the vehicle with 4 wheels down.
The Roadmaster Tow Dolly is the most well equipped tow dolly we offer. It has electric brakes, self-steering wheels, and lights. The only other thing you will need to use this dolly and attach it to your Prius is a 4-way on the motorhome. I have attached a review video of this dolly for you as well.
