How to Install the Tow Ready Trailer Wiring Adapter Part # 20036 on a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe

Im having difficulty finding the reverse light circuit on my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. I need to connect a blue wire off the trailer harness to activate reverse lock out on for trailer brakes.

When installing the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter part # 20036 on your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe you will want to use a circuit tester like part # ALL640595 to find the correct wire that is responsible for the reverse light circuit on your vehicle.

I have attached an installation video for you and at the 1:30 minute mark you can see the process to find the correct reverse light wire. Please note that this installation video is on a 2015 Toyota Highler and although the process will be the same, the wire colors will not therefore you will still need to use the circuit tester. I also recommend using a bit of dielectric grease like part # 11755 before mating the two trailer connectors together.
