In order to determine if the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TGMRCK15S will work on your 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 you will need to do a bit of measuring. You will need to take a tape measure and measure from the bottom of the mounting cup used to attach the bump stop on the frame to the top of your axle. If this distance is more than 10" then this system will not work for you.
If the distance is not more than 10" than you can use the kit along with increments of the Timbren 1/2" Spacer part # TA25722-90P00 and the Timbren 1" Spacer part # A25723-90AH00 until there is 1" of space between the bottom of the bump stop and the top of the axle. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement kit has a height of 4-3/4". You are limited to using 4 spacers max per side. Please keep in mind that since you will be adding length to the system you will also need a longer bolt which will need to match the the total height of spacers you use. The bolt that comes with the kit is a grade 8 M10x1.5" therefore if you installed 4 of the 1" lift spacers than the new bolt you would need is a grade 8 M10x5.5".
I have attached an install video on a similar GMC sierra for you as well.
