Maximum Input Amperage for the Redarc BCDC # 331-BCDC1225D

Question:

Im interested in the dual charging capabilities of the ctek 40186 charger combined with the smart pass module. Ive read through several of the othe questions folks have asked and I think I understand that these two devices incombination will allow the following: 1 dual charging sources - Cars alternator and Solar 2 it will manage which source charges and at what current. 3 The smartpass allows enough amperage to charge 2 100-150 amp/hour batteries in parallel. 4 The two modules in combination can run an ARB 12v fridge/freezer assuming enough solar wattage is available, while also charging the batteries. The only question I havent seen answered is what is the total wattage capacity of solar panels allowed to be attached to the charger? Ive seen reference to 120w, but not seen a maximum. Apologies if I missed it somewhere.

The maximum amperage input that the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D can handle is 25 amps. With the solar panel input you wouldn't have to worry about over charging it. Basically anything beyond 25 amps from either the solar panel or the alternator just won't get used.
