How to Carry Generator on Camper Trailer Tongue

Question:

I have a popup trailer 8 footer I need to carry the generator and of course, can not place it in the back of my Suburu Forester. I need a carrier that rides above the tongue. I dont need anything heavy or big, as the generator weights 100 pounds. I can not place any weight on that tongue or trailer. The new popup, forest river coach 2 double beds has a metal piece as a bumper and can not have anything mounted to that. My father asked, what is the best way I can take the generator and not place any more weight on that popup trailer.

If you can't place any weight on the trailer in any way that limits a lot of the options. Basically you'd have to decide if you could fit in in the interior or use a bunk like part # CC-255 as a platform on the tongue of the trailer. This is the most common place people will store a generator on a camper.

The trailer in the pic is a hybrid, but the generator tray appears to sit too high to allow the bed to drop down (the large panel behind the generator). Does the tray remove easily to allow for this?

The top tray can be removed but it's not really designed to be an easy off/on procedure. I definitely wouldn't mount it in front of a door/panel that you need to routinely gain access to.
