Electric Trailer Brake Controller Adapter to Install a Prodigy P3 in a 2007 Chevrolet 2500
Question:
I am looking to buy a brake controller 90195 I have a factory 7 pin connecter will this work on a 2007 Chevy 2500? Also what adapter cable do I need?

For starters the Prodigy P3, part # 90195, is a great choice and will work great in your 2007 Chevy 2500.
In 2007 Chevy had a mid-year design change with the Silverado but I'm not certain if it applied to the 2500 or not. If yours is the prevoius style, commonly known as the Classic Body, then you're in luck and can use part # 3015-P to connect the P3 under your dash.
If there is a new body style for 2500, and that's what you have, there isn't a conenctor under the dash for a brake controller. It needs to be hardwired in but all of the wiring is already there. You just connect the wires from the P3 to the wires under your dash. I've linked a video that shows where the wiring is located.
