Recommended Coupler for Custom Kayak Trailer
Question:
I have a small 40x48 in sq trailer for my kayak. I need a longer 8 ft tongue in alum. I need to be able to slide this into and out of a mount mounted to the trailer. Can you recommend something?

For your small kayak trailer, I recommend the Fulton Fas-Lok Coupler # F222000301. This will give you a 2 inch ball compatibility along with the ability to use a 2 inch square bar that you'd need to obtain locally to give you the length you need. That size will fit a standard 2 inch receiver tube if that is what is on your trailer.
If you need a 2-1/2 inch bar compatibility, then I recommend the coupler # CT-3002-Z. For a 3 inch bar compatibility, I recommend the # CT-3003-Z coupler. All these will give you an easy bolt on installation.
For your trailer wiring, I recommend # A10-4225VP. This will allow you to easily connect your trailer lights. If you need a lighting kit, I recommend # TLL9RK and have attached a video to assist.
