Spindle Dimensions of a 3500 lb Axle

Question:

Need to know the size of the axle spindle where the lug hub slides on with bearings on a 2004 Branson care trailer. Axle is a 3500 lb with a 5 lug rim, tire is 205 75 D15

3500 lb axles have the most common and most consistent spindle sizes. They are typically 1.73 inches at the seal, 1.38 inches at the inner bearing and 1.06 inches at the outer bearing like # TRU24FR. I've attached a video to assist.

I've linked the page to all of the options for hubs or hub/drum assemblies for this size spindle. There are 4 different sizes for 5 bolt assemblies and I've attached an article to assist.

Wondering if anyone still uses 1.5" x 1.375" spindles? I'm looking for bearing/hub assembly for an axle I currently have but seems like these dimensions are no longer used? Would you have any leads on where one could find some (perhaps old) stock in these dimensions?

Would you be able to pull one of your hubs and check the bearing numbers that are used? There should hopefully be numbers stamped right inside the inner and outer bearings.

@ChrisR I only have the axle, old bearing/hub assemblies long gone. I'm sure I can find bearings & seals from SKF or Timkin or whomever, it's a case of looking up a suitable bearing in that dimension. Finding hubs to match the bearings might be a different story. Any thoughts?

@Gord Got it. We do have trailer bearings with those inside diameters - part # LM48548 that has a 1.375" inner diameter and # 2788 with a 1.500" inner diameter. Unfortunately we don't have any hub assemblies that use both though.
