Recommended Weight Distribution System for 2015 Jeep Cherokee and 6x10 Enclosed Cargo Trailer

Hello I own a 2015 Jeep Cherokee and a 6x10 Enclosed Cargo trailer. The overall weight on the tongue is approx 900 lbs. What model would suit my needs ....There so many to choose from. Best regards

For your 2015 Jeep Cherokee and 6x10 trailer with 900 lb tongue weight, the way you determine fit is based on the total tongue weight which also adds any cargo behind your rear axle to your loaded trailer tongue weight. Then you want a system that has that total tongue weight in the middle of its range.
Based on your tongue weight of 900 lbs which I assume is the loaded weight, adding a little for any cargo behind the rear axle of your Cherokee, the most popular option is the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37120ET. This system is rated for total tongue weights between 800 and 1200 lbs. It has 4 point sway control with metal on metal friction in the head and the brackets of the trunnion bars. It comes with the hitch ball as well as the pin and clip, so all you need is a thin-walled socket to install the hitch ball. I recommend # ALL643216 or the name brand # EQ70-00-4800 for this installation.
If you prefer the Reese system with the friction material # RP66560 this will be a step up in my opinion due to the automotive grade friction material, but the pads will wear down just like brake pads over time which some people don't like. It does offer a slightly quieter function, but the biggest difference is in sway control as the bars rest on that material. This system will require a separate hitch ball like # 19286.
