I have the perfect option to get your 2008 Nissan Pathfinder setup with a 7-way trailer connector and you will not need to cut or splice any wires to do so. For this, I recommend using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector part # 118266. The T-One harness comes with everything you will need to install a 7-way trailer connector on your Pathfinder. If you do not have a 7-way mounting bracket on your trailer hitch than you can use part # 18140 and part # PK12711U to add one.
If your trailer has brakes then you will also need a brake controller and for that I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 as this is one of our most popular and best selling brake controllers due to its integrated safeguards and easy to use features. There is a plug-in harness for your vehicle that will easily allow you to install the above brake controller using part # 3050-P.
I have attached a review video of the harness and controller for you as well.
