Recommended Tire Chains for a 2018 Audi Q5 Quattro

I have a 2018 AUDI Q5 Quattro and can not decide between the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chain PW1046 with the PW105 bands or the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link TC2317. The owners manual states that the chains must go on the rear tires with low profile chains. Your assistance on my choice will help. I am a senior citizen.

Between those options I recommend the Titan Chain, part # TC2317. Actually, these are the chains I would've recommended for you even if you hadn't already narrowed it down.

Both the Titan chains and the Glacier cables you mentioned, part # PW1046, are Class S compatible, which means they're designed to be used when there isn't much clearance between the tires and the vehicle so they'll both fit. The reason I like the Titans so much more is becasue they're actually chains and not cables. The cables are for very limited use and don't provide a lot of traction. The main purpose for cables is so that you're legal in areas that requrie you have tire chains. The Titan chains are much better quality and will last longer. Also, when you factor in the cost of the adjsuters, part # PW103 for your tires, you're much better off with the Titans.

The only downside to the Titans is they are a little more confusing to install if you've never put them on. I recommend getting the Titans and then learning how to put them on when you're at home so you already know the process. Becasue once you've installed them a time or two the process is pretty simple.
