Recommended Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack for 2018 Honda Accord

For your 2018 Honda Accord, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11525. This Class I hitch is custom-fit for your vehicle and features a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. All of the necessary hardware is included and I have attached the complete installation instructions that you can take a look at.

Please note that Curt does require that stabilizing straps like # 18050 be used with any non-trailer load such as bike racks and cargo carriers. I have included a short video demonstration on this product so you can see exactly how it is used.

When choosing a bike carrier, you will just need to make sure that it is compatible with Class I hitches. Also keep in mind that the most bikes a Class I hitch can safely support with a carrier is 2.

For a compatible bike rack, I highly recommend the Kuat Transfer 2 # KU74FR. This is a really nice platform-style rack that will hold your bikes by the wheels with no frame contact. The carrier features a foot pedal that will allow you to easily tilt the rack back, with the bikes still loaded, for easy rear cargo access. It can secure 2 bikes of up to 40 pounds each and the carrier itself weighs only 47 pounds.
