Parts Needed to Install 7-Way on 2017 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
Ok looking through the parts and description listed on your web site I ordered the part #HM40975-11933 to get a 7 pin adapter from my factory installed 4 blade adapter, it said it was a match and would install correctly. So when i went to install the adapter there is no square plug for me to install it to on my 2017 jeep rubicon with factory 4-blade wiring harness. was this a waste of $$ for me or is there another adapter i must additionally purchase for this item to work??

The tow package for your 2017 Jeep Wrangler would have included a 7-way at the rear of it and not a 4-way which is why the # HM40975-11933 is not able to plug into your vehicle wiring. So while we have a solution for you it won't be with the part # HM40975-11933.
Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way.
If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
