A fifth wheel hitch and a gooseneck hitch will not typically fit together on a truck. The frame brackets for either type of hitch will interfere with the frame brackets of the other hitch. The frame brackets for the B&W gooseneck hitch will prevent the frame brackets from a fifth wheel base rails, like Item # C16200, to mount properly. Fortunately, B&W underbed gooseneck installation kits like what you have are designed to work with some of their fifth wheel hitches so you can have gooseneck and fifth wheel options.

To give you the ability to have fifth wheel and gooseneck options, I recommend the B&W Companion Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch w/Slider, Item # BWRVK3400-5W. The Companion hitch with slider will mount into the bed using the gooseneck hole in the center of your bed. The slider feature eliminates most clearance problems in short beds like your Dodge Ram by providing 12 inches of travel clearance. It has a gross towing weight of 20,000-lbs with a vertical load limit of 5,000-lbs. The Companion has a hitch height of 17 inches to 19 inches. When not using the Companion fifth wheel hitch, simply remove it and adjust setup for gooseneck applications. All B&W products are made in the USA.
